Most Memorable Trooper Moment:
Visiting Shangi Prison, Singapore and conducting a memorial service to recognize British Troops who lost heir lives in the 2nd World War.  
 

Lieutenant Colonel David Phillips is a retired Salvation Army Officer, residing in Hadleigh, Essex, where he attends the Hadleigh Temple Corps.

He has served 43 years as an officer in various UK appointment, including being a Corps Officer for 15 years, Divisional Youth Secretary for 6 years, Divisional Secretary for 1 year, National Youth Secretary for 5 years and Divisional Commander for 17 years.

For a long time he was an active Local Officer in Hadleigh Corps as Secretary of the Over 50's club called the Silver Service, and also a member of the band and songsters.

He and his wife have now retired to the Boscombe Corps.
